DIH CTU CIIRC is a university institute of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) and is one of the 6 candidates the European Centers for Digital Innovation (eDIH) in the Czech Republic
With its motto to “Inspire and Make the Czech Industry 4.0” the mission of DIH CIIRC CTU is to carry out research, promote quality doctoral and master courses, and attract students to research. Therefore, to create a scientific research infrastructure and a creative open academic environment that makes space for mutually beneficial cooperation among sections of the Czech Technical University, and among other universities in the Czech Republic or abroad, the Czech Academy of Sciences, state authorities, industrial enterprises, and other partners. Moreover, DIH CIIRC CTU assists companies (mainly SMEs) through technology transfer in their digitization process..
DIH CIIRC CTU´s services are provided in the areas of:
Industry 4.0 principles implementation – provision of evaluation of digital readiness level of a company including strategy development plan (i.e. Digital Maturity Assessment); collaborative research, proof of concept, testing and validation: use of Testbed for Industry 4.0 as an experimental workplace for joint research, development, and testing innovative solutions and processes for smart factories in cooperation with industry
Digital innovation knowledge management - developing skills, mentoring, and education by providing thematic education workshops with a focus on Industry 4.0 & Society 4.0 concept in particular with on-demand demonstrations; supporting the creation of startups/spinoffs via activities of CTU Media Lab Foundation and eClub start-up teams; identifying of funding opportunities; providing on-demand and general market studies, such as Analysis of Czech Industry 2020
Ecosystem building – matching main stakeholders (academia, government, and industrial partners) together by organizing community events such as thematic workshops, conferences, and networking events;
raising awareness by public relations activities e.g. Open House Day in Testbed for Industry 4.0 or newsletter Bulletin of Industry 4.0 (mainly in the Czech language as designed for local audiences); development of national/regional digitalization strategies; providing consultations, market studies, expert opinions; tackling Covid pandemic crisis by activating the ecosystem (e.g. development and transfer to mass production of CIIRC RP95 Half Mask or development and transfer into the use of robotic station that helps in the process of pipette sampling).
