The Attica Hub for the Economy of Data and Devices “ahedd” is the Digital Innovation Hub operated by the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSR Demokritos) that aims to support businesses and organisations on their digital transformation journey.ahedd is an ecosystem of research & corporate entities that have exceptional know-how in offering digital transformation & innovation solutions using Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Internet of Things technologies as horizontal enablers.

ahedd also offers business support through experimentation facilities for testing new technologies before investing, as well as through training, networking and acceleration services.

Based upon the companies’ challenges, DigiTech 4.0 provides SMEs the following services: assessment of readiness for digitization, developing and validation of new solutions, introduction in physical cyber security matters, access to funding and investor readiness services, building innovation capacity through enriching
human capital.

  • Training of business executives on AI potentials and risks and formulation of AI strategy and roadmap.
  • Development of tailor-made and bespoke innovative solutions using AI, Big Data and IoT as horizontal enablers.
  • Consultation towards the application and evaluation of innovative technologies
  • Experimentation test-beds and tools, including a 5G and IoT-enabled Smart-city testbed, IoT and Big Data platforms, etc.
  • Incubation and acceleration services for start-ups and SMEs

NCSR Demokritos is the biggest public research centre in Greece and is leading cutting-edge R&D activities on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

ahedd has ties with more than 100 industrial stakeholders and is also supported by more than 40 companies hosted in NCSR Demokritos Technology Park “Lefkippos”.

ahedd is a member of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), the European federation of Data Driven Innovation Hubs (EUHUBS4DATA), DIHWorld community and actively participates in Digital SME Alliance Working Groups: Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation.

ahedd is leading the “Smart Attica” EDIH candidate consortium focusing on the acceleration of the digital transformation of the Attica region and consisting of 17 strategic partners.

ahedd is also participating in the EuroCC EU program ensuring that Greek enterprises maximize their benefit from using High Performance Computing services
