Services

TECHNICAL ADVICE AND MENTORING
The IoT DIH provides technical advice and mentoring to SMEs that wish to integrate IoT into their processes and services. The IoT DIH is a member of an Industry 4.0 working group of the regional agro-food sector (Vitartis) association where it provides digitalization counselling to member companies.

ACCESS TO FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
The IoT DIH provides support to SMEs, facilitating access to funding resources for innovative projects:

  • by encouraging R&I consortia to apply to public/private funding calls for the adoption of digital technologies;
  • by participating in cascade funding projects and launching calls for the digitalization of SMEs;
  • by organizing mentoring and networking events where different funding opportunities are described.

PROMOTION OF IOT TECHNOLOGIES
We regularly organize events for the digitalization of the industry where SMEs and large enterprises can share ideas, acquire new knowledge about the latest advances in the field of IoT, establish contacts with other companies, learn about different success cases…

TECH-ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEM
The IoT DIH offers a benchmark event for the international tech-entrepreneurial ecosystem: showcasing startups and providing them with the right connections (Accelerators, Investors, Public Administrations, Policy-Makers, Universities, Talent, etc.); and a forum where startups can share experiences and develop synergies so that they can grow together.

ACCESS TO LABORATORIES AND EQUIPMENT
The IoT DIH provides access to research and development laboratories and high-performance equipment where SMEs can test their solutions, acquire knowledge of IoT and assess practical cases. This includes: an IoT lab, a showroom, 3D printers…

DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATION PROJECTS
The IoT DIH gathers different players in the IoT ecosystem. Those players collaborate in research and innovation projects with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of SMEs. Annually, the IoT DIH participates in more than 20 projects in collaboration with different companies; the focus of those projects is to help those companies to digitalize their processes.

TECHNOLOGICAL IOT DIAGNOSTICS
The IoT DIH has standardized a methodology to carry out technical diagnostics to SMEs to assist them in the development of new products and services based on IoT (in the case of ICT SMEs) and in the adoption of IoT technologies in their internal processes (in the case of industrial SMEs).

TRAINING
The IoT DIH organizes different training programs to increase the digital skills of SMEs. Training at IoT DIH ranges from specialized industry digitalization courses targeted at the employees of SMEs to an Industry 4.0 master’s degree in collaboration with the University of Salamanca. In addition, some courses are combined with internships in companies to improve the digital skills required by the Industry 4.0 paradigm. Additional information
