Speedhub is the digital innovation hub of Confindustria Verona, the main association representing manufacturing and service companies in the territory of Verona, counting a total of more than 2.000 companies and more than 70.000 employees. Speedhub supports big companies and SMEs in the technological and digital transformation of their processes by helping them to experiment and test digital innovation.
Services
One of Speedhub’s main aim is to increase the awareness about opportunities and benefits concerning the digital transformation and technological innovation. This information is usually shared through the organization and promotion of webinars and events. It also offers training and skills development, tailor-made consultancy, technical assistance, support in finding investments, and give access to an ecosystem and networking opportunities with technological providers and Universities. Speedhub has its own internal technical skills together with a network of qualified external collaborations useful for the development of operational projects.
At national level Speedhub is member of the Confindustria national DIH network, and at regional level is part of the Veneto region Industry 4.0 network.
Additional information
Speedhub collaborates with Confindustria Verona which is part of Confindustria, at national level the biggest and most important Italian association of manufacturing companies. Thanks to this collaboration Speedhub has been supporting various projects concerning the innovation, in particular, it provided support in the creation of two regional innovation networks: Rivelo and Tech4Life. The first one is about the development and implementation of technological solutions for the logistics and supply chains while the second one is about the adoption of new technologies in the health sector.
In the first project Speedhub was the scientific and technical coordinator while in the second one it helped to define the digital maturity level of the health sector and its drivers. Additionally, Speedhub cooperates with the Informatic Engineering Department of the University of Verona, more specifically with the Industial Computer Engineerin Lab (ICE Lab), a training environment where some of the exponential techonologies such as additive manufacturing, Industrial IoT, advanced robotics and Digital Twin are experimented and tested.

Digital Innovation Hub Liguria (DIH Liguria or DIHL) is the main DIH located in Genoa (North West Italian Region) born during September 2017 with the Ligurian associations of the Confindustria System as Founding Members. The Association is a non-profit organization, supported by public and private entities united by the common desire to promote the digital transformation of companies, in particular those located in Liguria.
At national level DIH Liguria is part of the Confindustria DIH network an, at European level it is part of the network of DIHs promoted by the European Union to orchestrate the innovation ecosystem.
The mission of the Digital Innovation Hub Liguria is to integrate the players involved in the territorial innovation ecosystem, according to their different skills and relational networks, supporting their operations and projects. Also DIH Liguria support companies through their technological innovation processes, to enhance competitiveness.

MEDISDIH Scarl is the evolution of the Mechatronic Technological Cluster – MEDIS Scarl that, operating since already ten years on the Apulian territory, has gained a relevant experience in the integration of innovative activities of large companies, SMEs, private research centres as well as Universities and public research centers for the development of mechatronics and digital enabling technologies and their technological transfer to the territory. In the year 2018, the Cluster has synergistically integrated the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) activities in its pre-existing ones, thus becoming MEDISDIH Scarl, the Mechatronic Cluster and Digital Innovation Hub of Apulia Region.
MEDISDIH is constituted in the form of a limited liability consortium company between public and private partners able to comprehensively represent the Apulian innovation ecosystem. They include universities of the region, public and private research centres, large industrial groups as well as large companies and local SMEs operating in highly technological industrial sectors.
MEDISDIH Public Members are: Polytechic of Bari, University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, National Research Council – CNR.

MEDISDIH takes advantage of skills and experience gained in the coordination of relevant Research and Innovation Projects that have led to the digitization of production processes of several technologically advanced partner companies, able to oversee global markets. In this way MEDISDIH aims to support all manufacturing companies of Apulian Territory in operating a digital transition at their measure. The main aim is to increase added value of companies products/processes in order to boost their competitiveness on the market.
In supporting Apulian SMEs, MEDISDIH can count on the collaboration of its highly skilled Partners and of the National Competence Centers to ensure that the digital innovations implemented by the companies of the territory could have the gaze already turned to those of the near future.

Consistently to its mission, MEDISDIH is strongly involved in the promotion of industrial product and/or process innovations integrating the multidisciplinary mechatronic technologies supported by digital ones.
MEDISDIH aims to help local enterprises, especially SMEs, to increase their competitiveness on global markets, working to promote:
- I4.0 company organization based on digital tools for information sharing and decision support;
- Evolved value chains and relationships between Dealers, OEMs and Tiers made possible by the new sharing information tools between partner companies in the different stages of the production process;
- New generation of products and services.
In addition to making the digital technology transfer to any digital maturity level enterprise, MEDISDIH aims to involve the Apulian enterprises, Research Organizations and Universities in the main European, National and Regional digital innovation initiatives with particular reference to enabling technology applications in the Automotive, Robotics, Manufacturing, Health, Agri-food, Infrastructure, inspection and maintenance sectors.
