Technology Park Ljubljana, a tech, start-up and scaleup community
Technology Park Ljubljana (TPLJ) is a leading national player in the development of innovative and knowledge-based entrepreneurship in Slovenia. Together with more than 1500 professionals, TPLJ is active in the following main clusters and priority areas: ICT, circular, and digital health.
DIH healthday.si was established 2019 with the goal to influence the digitalization of the Slovenian healthcare system. It supports the members, predominantly start-up and SMEs, to enter the national and international healthcare markets. It is also to support the local health and social care communities to implement digital solutions.
We have spoken with Rebeka Žerovnik, Project Manager: “We are proud that in June 2021, TPLJ, in collaboration with Ljubljana University Incubator, began offering a healthcare specific accelerator programme, titled Health.Tech.Growth, which focuses specifically on acceleration healthcare-based start-ups, offering them dedicated workshops, mentoring services, and networking opportunities.” The service is running under the auspices of the Slovenian Enterprise Fund.
The main activities of TPLJ include supporting start-ups in healthcare and biotech, virtual and augmented reality testing and mentoring and lean innovation and start-up acceleration programs. “We are also organising matchmaking and training events, to highlight the traditional annual HealthDay.si Conference”, Rebeka explains.
“Being part of DIH-World is very important for us. We will receive coaching support on sustainability and scalability of DIH Healthday.si support system and we will increase awareness for DIH Healthday.si”. According to Rebeka, they will also increase international collaboration and both access to advanced technologies and services as access to knowledge, best practices, success and failure stories of other DIHs – to learn from them and improve our own system – participating and networking in DIH events.
